  When I hear spaghetti and meatballs, I envision a lengthy (but rewarding) process of tending to both the meat and simmering sauce on the stovetop. But when a craving for this beloved Italian American classic hits on a weekday, I want it NOW, please and thank you. And thus, the creation of this weeknight-friendly version, entirely doable in just an hour. (Watch my development process—and all 65 attempts at nailing the meatballs—here.)

=====45 Egg Recipes We’ll Crave Until the End of Time=====

[https://www.bonappetit.com/gallery/egg-recipes by JOE SEVIER 5/4/23 bon appetit]

You probably already have some good egg recipes up your sleeve. (Those flourless, protein-heavy egg muffins you make when you need a healthy breakfast on the go? Strong move. The boozy but light eggnog you make every holiday season? Unrivaled. The soy-marinated eggs that turn a bowl of rice into dinner? Brilliant.) But eggs are so satisfying and so versatile—not to mention so expensive right now—we could all use fresh ideas for how to prepare them so they shine every time we cook with them.
=====25 Easy Soup Recipes For When You Need a Hot Soup Facial, Stat=====
[https://www.bonappetit.com/gallery/easy-soup-recipes TEAM BASICALLY 27/3/21 bon appetit]
When it's technically spring but it doesn't feel like spring (which, let's be real, can be the majority of this sham of a season), you need easy soup recipes. You're not about to spend all evening babysitting broth, but you still want that feeling of leaning over a simmering pot, letting the moisture cleanse and hydrate your pores. (No? Not into it? Just us?)
=====Summer Vegetable Soup With Pistou=====
[https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/summer-vegetable-soup-pistou by LIESEL DAVIS 3/6/25 bon appetit]
This soup is designed both for longevity and nutrition—an easy option packed with lots of good things to get you through the week, especially the kind where something needs to give but you don’t want it to be a delicious, nourishing homemade meal. While you can cook this soup up almost anytime, it is made for June, making the most of late-spring and early-summer produce. Roasting the tomatoes and corn add depth and complexity, and the barley or farro lend heft and make the soup even more filling. The homemade pistou is a cinch to make, especially with an immersion blende
=====This Is the Classiest Bean Soup Recipe We've Ever Made=====
[https://www.bonappetit.com/story/silky-bean-soup-recipe by CHRIS MOROCCO 18/12/17 bon appetit]
You already know my feelings about puréed soups. And, for most of my life, I believed that the only thing worse than a puréed soup was a puréed bean soup. They tend to unleash the worst of what beans have to offer: They get starchy, they get thick and gluey, and things just get weirder from there.
=====A Creamy Carrot Soup Recipe for Grown-Ups (Not Babies)=====
[https://www.bonappetit.com/story/creamy-carrot-soup-recipe-for-grown-ups by CHRIS MOROCCO 13/11/17 bon appetit]
Puréed soups kinda suck. By definition, they have one flavor and one texture, a visual blank space where something much more interesting should be. Pretty much anything puréed needs a big flavor assist to be delicious; just think about how much butter, cream, and salt it takes to make mashed potatoes truly amazing.

  It's a toss-up as to whether it's more fun to say "shakshuka" or the name of its Turkish counterpart, menemen, but both are incredibly tasty, straightforward dishes that should be in your arsenal. Though it is North African in origin, today shakshuka is popular throughout the Middle East (particularly in Israel, where it may as well be one of the national dishes) and in hip neighborhood diners all over the coastal U.S.

Eggs are more closely associated with American breakfasts than almost any other food, and it's not hard to see why—they're versatile and affordable, and they provide a nice dose of protein to kick off your day.

That's because adding a perfectly fried or poached egg, its runny yolk surrounded by creamy white, can turn just about anything into a filling meal—even the random bits and bobs from my refrigerator on nights when I'm too busy to plan out dinner.

=====Turkish-Style Poached Eggs With Brown Butter Garlic Chips=====
[www.bonappetit.com/recipe/turkish-style-poached-eggs by MEHREEN KARIM 8/3/22 bon appetit]
Inspired by cilbir, Turkish poached eggs on a bed of creamy yogurt, this dish is a garlic lover’s dream. Typically, raw garlic is grated directly into the yogurt, but in this version we fry thinly sliced garlic in the spiced brown butter that gets drizzled over the entire dish. The resulting crunchy, golden brown garlic chips and the crisped-up torn bread lend textural balance to the soft eggs. Use the bread to sop up every last bit of runny yolk and creamy yogurt—it’s your side of toast built right in! —Mehreen Karim

=====9 In-Your-Face Deviled Egg Variations=====

It's that third I'd like to focus on today. The very best deviled egg I've ever had happened to also involve a Sazerac and some empty bar stools. It was at The Spotted Pig on a rainy Sunday afternoon, one of those rare moments in which all events in the space–time continuum conspire to leave not one, not two, but three empty seats at the Pig during service hours. This may have been the only time in the history of the universe that this has occurred.

=====Al Dente Potatoes Are Delicious, and This Recipe Proves It=====
[www.bonappetit.com/story/al-dente-potatoes by HETTY MCKINNON 9/11/21 bon appetit]
  n the food world, there is much debate over the perfect crispy roast potatoes, the silkiest, airiest mash, the creamiest gratin. I get it: A good mash can make our knees weak and crispy potatoes never fail to bring satisfaction. For much of my formative years, however, the years when I gleefully lived under the culinary sovereignty of my mother’s cooking, my idea of the perfect potatoes was very different. I lived for stir-fried potatoes.

=====How to Make Pizza Dough=====
[https://www.wikihow.com/Video/Make-Pizza-Dough by WikiHow]
To make pizza dough, first add 2 ½ cups (325 g) of flour and 1 tsp (3 g) of instant yeast to a bowl. Then, add 2 tsp (8 g) of sugar, ½ tsp (3 g) of salt, 1 tbsp (3 g) of dried oregano, and ½ tbsp (5 g) of garlic powder and whisk the dry ingredients together. Add in 2 tbsp (15 ml) of olive oil, and then gradually pour in 1 cup (240 ml) of warm water, folding it into the dry mixture. Continue to mix everything until it sticks together and start to form dough. Flour your work surface and knead the dough for 5 minutes. Shape the dough into a ball with your hands. Next, coat the inside of a bowl with oil, place the dough in it, and cover the bowl with a cloth. Let the dough rise for 1 hour before using it in your recipe.

According to self-proclaimed “pizza freak” Peter Reinhart, pizza is just “dough with stuff on it.” And whether you agree with that taxonomy or not, you can’t argue with the fact that dough with stuff on it usually is pretty delicious, regardless of its country or state of origin.
=====9 Rules for the Best Homemade Pizza OF YOUR LIFE=====
[www.bonappetit.com/story/best-homemade-pizza by JOE BEDDIA @*?#?!& bon appetit]
My methods are old-school: Use the highest quality ingredients, make almost everything from scratch, and take the time to do it right. You can make the same great pizza that I make at the restaurant in your home, using your regular oven. That’s how I got my start, and it’s why I wrote a book, Pizza Camp, which comes out this month. Practice—and, okay, a few straightforward guidelines—makes pizza.

When Alex Henry reworked a classic dish from his childhood for his first restaurant, Sureste Mexican, a food hall spot in St. Louis, he also happened to engineer an exuberantly flavorful and smart steak taco for home cooks. Bistec a la Yucateca is a common main dish in the Yucátan peninsula often made with skirt or flank steak, but Mr. Henry uses its citrusy, earthy marinade on thinly sliced ribeye for tacos.
=====How To Make Easy Ground Beef Tacos=====

I’ve been known to use a prefab packet of taco seasoning in a pinch, but there’s something disappointing about the resulting tacos. There are flavors I like but also a lingering dullness. I challenged myself to do better, to create a quick, weeknight-friendly ground beef taco filling using fresher ingredients but without creating more work.

=====Baja-Style Cauliflower Tacos=====
[https://www.onlinecookingschool.com/courses/baja-style-cauliflower-tacos by AMERICA'S TEST KITCHEN]
A true Baja California experience requires sunny, breezy patios and a plate of tacos. We aimed to re-create the feel of a Baja-style fish taco in our home kitchen, instead bringing veggies to the forefront. We thought that battered cauliflower bites, drizzled with a cool and creamy vegan sauce, were the perfect vegan stand-in for the fish. We wanted to avoid the mess of deep-frying, so we cut the cauliflower into large florets and roasted them. To boost their flavor, we dunked the pieces in canned coconut milk seasoned with garlic and spices and then rolled them in a mixture of panko bread crumbs and shredded coconut.
=====Couscous Tacos=====

"From a vegetarian cookbook of mine. I love Couscous (KOOS-koos)- it is a quick-cooking grain made from ground semolina in the shape of very tiny beads, so it is a cool change from regular pasta! Also, I suppose you can use soft shell tacos shells, not just hard shell."
=====Baja-Style Grilled Tempeh Tacos=====

"From the Veganomicon. I add lots of hot sauce to this (both in the lime creme and the tempeh marinade). It's very pretty with shredded purple cabbage, but you can substitute with lettuce if you'd prefer."
