-  Painting is fast because he sprayed, but took 10x longer masking everything else off. Spraying is faster if the whole building is being done one color or priming, thus only windows being masked off.

-  Also he had to move the ladder across once for the masking, then again for the spraying. Also he has to go back up and remove the masking. Way too many trips up and down that ladder. If he had scaffolding around the house, then yes this would have been faster especially with others.
