I just recently bought a home and am planning to repaint it. But the wall is dry plaster or something and absorbs too much paint. I used Satin finish but it ended up flat when the paint dried. I did 2 layers but it didn't help. I thought there was something wrong with the paint and tried it on a closet with newer drywall and the sheen was correct.
