Sleep and nutrition are closely connected. Good nutrition helps the body regulate energy, hormones, blood sugar, and recovery processes that influence how deeply and consistently a person sleeps.

Practical sleep hygiene habits include keeping a consistent sleep schedule, limiting evening caffeine and alcohol, managing light exposure, creating a calming bedtime routine, and adjusting workout timing when intense exercise disrupts sleep. These habits help make diet and fitness goals more sustainable by improving energy, mood, decision-making, and recovery.
