Based in Los Angeles, she purchased the apartment in 2021 as pied-à-terre for her frequent trips to New York City. At the time, she was living inside a Spanish bungalow-style home in LA’s Silver Lake community and said she wanted the interior aesthetics of the Manhattan apartment to be a departure from her life on the West Coast.

The Capitol Theater is a performance venue built in 1902 and 1903. This building is made up of several distinct sections arranged in a row in an irregular, long and narrow plan. Inspired by Beaux-Arts architecture, the five-storey quarter-circle facade is topped with a domed roof pierced with oculus. Its walls are in brick and its ornamentation is in freestone. The exterior treatment of the rear section housing the auditorium is more sober. The Capitole theater is located opposite Place D'Youville, on a narrow lot adjacent to the Saint-Jean gate and bastion, in the municipal district of La Cité-Limoilou in Quebec City.
